Alexander Books was opened by Gary and Barbara Alexander on October 31, 1989. The store is located in Lafayette, Louisiana -- The Heart of Acadiana.
We specialize in used and out-of-print hardcover and paperback books with special emphasis on condition and quality. Alexander Books is dedicated to supplying our in-store and internet customers with their books in a timely and efficient manner.

Trading and Selling Books:
Paperbacks:
Paperbacks can only be traded for credit towards other paperbacks. Trade credit is equal to half of the original printed cover price of the book. There is a filing charge of 10% on all credit used.
Hardbacks:
We purchase hardback books from estates or individuals after inspection.
Material Not Accepted for Trade:
Paperbacks in poor / soiled / torn condition or those with clipped corners.
Magazines, old textbooks, pamphlets, out-dated books of any type.
